Exploring the divine beasts, an entity that has symbolized authority and power in Japan since ancient times. Despite not being indigenous to Japan, the divine beasts were brought into the Japanese consciousness through foreign texts, existing in the imagination and enjoying a religious reverence. This exhibition probes the discrepancy between this inflated perception and the reality, questioning the true nature of the symbolization of the divine beasts in religious faith.

As a parallel event to Art Collaboration Kyoto (ACK) 2023, COIN PARKING DELIVERY unveils a vibrant collaboration with the iconic Pink Panther, showcased in a special exhibition at the Shobikan building of Heian Jingu Shrine—a culturally significant space rarely open to the public.

This exhibition is made possible by Geek Pictures, the official rights holder of the Pink Panther in Japan. COIN PARKING DELIVERY, celebrated for their playful and pop-centric aesthetic, began creating digital art in 2018 using only their fingers on a smartphone. Their distinctive style has since garnered global attention, leading to acclaimed collaborations with major brands and a strong international following.

Blending contemporary Japanese pop art with one of the world's most beloved characters, the exhibition reimagines the Pink Panther in bold, unexpected ways—merging tradition and modernity in a setting that embodies Kyoto's timeless elegance and creative spirit.
