ターニ・セティは、ニュー・デリーを拠点に活動し、民話や神話に触発された作品を通じて、身体意識やセクシュアリティを探求している。絵画、ドローイング、金属彫刻といった多彩なメディアを駆使し、性別や美の固定観念に縛られない身体のあり方、そして性的解放をテーマにしたユートピアを描いている。彼女の創り出す世界には、人間らしいもの、動物的なもの、そのどちらでもない存在たちが登場し、迷宮のような空間や多肢の擬人化された構造のなかで、思考し、語らい、愛し、そして繁栄している。
その作品は、メンタルヘルスの低下、政治的分断、共同体主義への懐疑、自然環境の破壊といった現実への応答であると同時に、インド美術史への深いまなざしにも根ざしている。カリガート絵画、ミニアチュール、カヴァド、トール・ボンマラタなど、インド亜大陸に広がる伝統的表現からインスピレーションを受け、独自の視覚言語を築いている。『Architectural Digest India』など多数のメディアで紹介され、Mumbai Urban Arts Festival、IICギャラリー、Chemould CoLabなどでの展示にも参加。現在もムンバイを拠点に、身体と想像力の自由をめぐる創作を続けている。
